My little sister..
Let me tell you what this bitch did.
She applied for a job at the movie theater. She has zero job experience, she’s the baby so working has never been a priority for her.
Anyway, the people didn’t call her back.
So she decided that she would call them and tell them that someone called her and told her she had an interview for the next day…..
Lol.
Not only did they schedule her for the interview…but they gave this bitch the fucking job…
LOL.
My friend is having a hard time finding a job, maybe I will suggest this technique.
My sister has always had the ability to talk anyone into anything.
But what’s more important….
Free.fucking.tickets.
That is the best thing I’ve ever heard. I have to try that next time.
just realized we all have so much free time on our hands compared to people living before, like, 1950. when we say we’re busy, what are we busy with? well, personally, i’d be busy with homework, with meetings - but these aren’t really essential to living. back in the day, i’d imagine people were so busy with doing things that were essential to living, like making clothes, furnishing a home, preparing food and preserves, etc. but now we’ve come so far in technological advancements that we have nothing to occupy our time. and the internet makes everything that much easier so we really have nothing to do.
it depresses me if i think about it too much. i want to start doing more stuff from scratch, or at least one step backwards. i realized this last night when i wanted to use my phone to find a theatre, even though i was a block away. i resolved to ask someone to point me in the right direction, and it felt really good not relying on technology. but i spoiled it 10 minutes later by searching for the nearest starbucks via google maps.
instead of buying everything, i want to start making things that i need. i think i’ll be happier that way.

doing this to my other ear

lezbeein:rogueaeterna:superheronights:
Prior to the wedding, you gather a strong wooden wine box, a bottle of wine and two glasses. Then, also before the ceremony, you both sit down separately and write love notes to each other, explaining your feelings on the eve of your wedding day. Each letter then gets sealed in its own envelope. You do not read your beau’s letter.
Then, at some point during the ceremony, your officiant explains the process, and the two of you seal the box by taking turns hammering in one nail at a time until the box is closed.
You don’t open the box until your 10th anniversary, or really whatever anniversary you choose. Either way, on the day that you open the box, you both read the letters and drink the wine, remembering how you both felt just days before your wedding day.

Kickass Comestible of the Day: Spanish mommy blogger SandeeA has come up with a neat way to bake brownies inside an egg shell. Her site is in Spanish, natch, but you’re a cosmopolitan sort of guy/gal, so I’m sure you can figure it out.
(Here’s the Google Translate version in case you’re not a cosmopolitan sort of guy/gal, but would still like to bake brownies inside an egg shell.)

Unfortunately, I didn’t come up with this design - the clever, wonderful folks at BlendApparel did. But when I saw it, I fell absolutely in love.
They call it “Lo(ve)-Fi” since it’s a twist on the Wi-Fi symbol on Apple products. Funnily enough, within days of getting this tattoo two years ago, I had been hired by a local Apple store, which, though I’m not there anymore, ended up being one of the biggest, most important parts of my life.
Anyway, to me, it’s my reminder to treat others with love. I believe that we’re given a chance at this life to leave it better than how we found it, and I think one of the best and most powerful ways to get there is through love. So, when people are rude or unkind, I look at my left wrist (where the tattoo is) and treat them with love. And, since Wi-fi also picks up signals, it also serves as a reminder that the love I send out will someday come back to me. It’s a symbiotic relationship, and I need to always make the conscious decision to keep my end of the bargain up!
I got it done at Tattoo Lou’s in West Babylon, Long Island.
i say “sorry” too much. i’m gonna cut down on that, so that when i do end up saying it, the words mean more.
SPAGHETTI SQUASH DIRECTIONS/RECIPE:
-Get one spaghetti squash, slice in half long ways and scoop out seeds! (if you have a guy around, have him cut this thing bc it is insanely tough to cut in half. BE CAREFUL!) - place into large pot of boiling water. boil skin side up (sliced portion facing down in water) for 15-20 minutes. let slightly cool- then shred with fork!! it is pretty awesome, literally shreds so easily and looks like noodles! **I only boil one of the halves and save the other in the fridge til I’m ready to cook that one a day or two later, bc just one of those halves is enough for 2 people**
-while that is boiling- warm up your marinara sauce (chunky style) in a sauce pan…I also minced up 1 garlic clove and thru it in the sauce….
-I put the shredded squash in an oven safe baking dish, pour sauce over top and mix thru til fully saturated, then slice up fresh mozzarella cheese and place on top….**if you prefer, you can use shredded fresh parmesan and skip the whole oven & broiling process all together!**
-cover dish with foil, bake in oven on 350 for 5 minutes.
-uncover and place under broiler (low broil) until cheese browns…should only take 3 minutes, just watch it carefully so it doesn’t burn.
*top with fresh basil*
Enjoy! So delicious and healthy!
PS: If you just google spaghetti squash there are a ton of different ways to prepare it, and all of them are delicious. This is just the way I’m used to making it.
